An 18-year-old MBBS student died after allegedly being made to stand for three hours during ragging by his seniors at a medical college in Gujarat's Patan district. The college has started a probe into the incident, which took place on Saturday. The deceased, Anil Methaniya, was a first-year MBBS student at the GMERS Medical College and Hospital at Dharpur in Patan.
Police in Gujarat have filed an FIR against 15 medical students for the death of an 18-year-old student who allegedly died due to ragging. The victim, Anil Methaniya, a first-year MBBS student, fell unconscious and died after being made to stand for three hours during ragging by his seniors at a hostel of the college on Saturday night. The accused, all second-year MBBS students, have been suspended from their hostel and academic activities until further orders.
